Negative Punishment refers to the removal of a stimulus from the environment immediately following a behavior, which decreases the future likelihood of that behavior occurring.
Example
For example, if a child loses access to a preferred toy after hitting a sibling, and the removal of the toy decreases the likelihood of hitting in the future, this would be an example of negative punishment.
