Multiple-Baseline Design: This is one of the most commonly used designs in ABA. It involves the application of an independent variable across three or more behaviors, settings, or participants, with each starting baseline at a different point in time.
Example
For example, a therapist may be working with three different children, each in a different classroom. The intervention is introduced to one child in one classroom, while the other two remain in baseline. Once the desired behavior is achieved, the intervention is introduced to the next child in a different classroom.
