Continuous Reinforcement (CRF; FR1)

Continuous Reinforcement (CRF)ย is a type of reinforcement schedule in which every occurrence of the targetย behaviorย is followed by a reinforcer. This schedule is used during the initial stages of learning to strengthen theย behaviorย and ensure that it is consistently performed.

Example

A teacher is teaching a child to raise their hand before speaking in class. Every time the child raises their hand, the teacher immediately provides verbal praise, such as โ€œGreat job raising your hand!โ€ This consistent reinforcement helps the child learn the correctย behaviorย more quickly by associating hand-raising with positive outcomes.
