Physical Prompt

Physical Promptย is a type of prompt where the teacher or therapist provides hands-on guidance to help the learner engage in the correctย behavior. Physical prompts involve directly assisting the learnerโ€™s body to perform the desired action, typically used in the early stages of teaching new skills.

Example

A teacher is helping a student learn to tie their shoes. The teacher physically guides the studentโ€™s hands through the steps of making loops and pulling the laces tight. By providing this hands-on assistance, the teacher ensures the student successfully completes the action, gradually reducing the prompt over time as the student learns to do it independently.
