Frequency

Frequencyย orย Countย is a simple measure of how often a particularย behaviorย occurs within a specific time frame. It is one of the most basic methods of data collection inย behaviorย analysis, where each instance of the targetย behaviorย is recorded as a count, providing information about how often theย behaviorย is exhibited.

Example

A teacher is tracking how many times a student raises their hand to answer a question during a one-hour lesson. The teacher counts each instance the student raises their hand, and by the end of the lesson, the total count is 5. This frequency data helps the teacher assess how often the student engages in the desiredย behaviorย of participating in class.
