In Interdependent Group Contingencies, the entire group must meet a specific contingency or performance criterion for any member to receive reinforcement. If all members of the group exhibit the required behavior, the group as a whole is rewarded.
Example
In a classroom, the teacher might announce that if all students complete their assignments quietly for 20 minutes, the whole class will earn extra recess time. If any student does not follow the expectations, no one gets the reward.
